ACO Port Hope Historic Barn Quilt TourBarn #13
Slack, 4181 County Rd. 9

Once owned by the Howe family, still living on the north side of the road, the barns were shelter for beef cattle. The little red barn was probably a drive shed, a handy location at the intersection of County Rd. 10 and 9th Line. The quilt board depicts the crossroads pattern with colours chosen for the proliferation of streams, creeks, ponds and pasture in the area.
